A lot of people have questions about what types of foods are rich in vitamin D, so let’s dive into some numbers!

We gathered all of our information for this article from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The AAP recommends eating one serving per day of fortified milk products or 10 minutes of sun exposure every week to achieve adequate vitamin D levels.

For most children under eight years old, we recommend giving them a bottle of low-fat yogurt as their daily dose. Because kids tend to eat more food than adults, half a cup is enough to meet the recommendations.

For boys over 8 years old and girls 9 years old and older, the recommendation changes slightly and now includes two servings of fortified milk product each day!

That means one glass of milk or dessert with vitamins for your child.

For patients who cannot tolerate dairy, the AAFP does not feel that oral supplements are effective sources of Vitamin D, so they do not endorse it. But if you would like to try them, talk to your doctor first to see if it is okay for you to take them.

Leonardo da Vinci

what is v known for

Da Vinci was not only an incredible artist, he was also very intelligent. He made many inventions during his life including some that have influenced modern technology. These include devices such as the helicopter, camera, computer and parachute.

He never really lived up to his potential due to health problems but what we do know about him comes from notes he left behind and letters people wrote about him.

His genius can be seen in how he painted using oil paints and mixing his colors to create new shades. His use of proportion and focus on realism are things that still influence artists today.

Da Vinci’s legacy is one of excellence. Not just in art but other areas like engineering, science and writing. Even though he did not live to see it, he has set a standard for others to follow.

The Renaissance

what is v known for

During this time, Europe experienced what many refer to as the European Renaissance or the Italian Renaissance. This term is typically defined as a period of cultural growth in Italy that saw the return of classical learning and artistic styles.

The Renaissance was not one event but rather a collection of events. It began with an increase interest in humanism which encouraged study of ancient classics such as Greek and Latin texts.

These studies were no longer focused only on knowledge for power but instead used to learn about the inner workings of humanity and how we relate to each other. These lessons could be applied to everyday life and society.

Art also underwent a dramatic transformation during this era. Artists painted naturalistic representations of things they knew well like landscapes and still lifes. They also experimented with new styles and materials more than ever before.

In England, Leonardo da Vinci lived and worked during this renaissance. He designed everything from machines to paintings to architecture. Many consider him to be one of the greatest artists of all time due to his use of proportion and mathematical shapes in art.

Another famous artist who spent some time during the renaissance in France was Claude Monet. His painting Autumn Leaves includes a range of colors and textures he incorporated into his work.
