How I Become Famous

By Tiara

As you can probably tell, writing is my number one passion in life. I have to say that when I was a kid, I never thought I would be able to make a career out of it! It seems like such an easy thing to do, but writing is not necessarily an easy skill to possess.

It takes lots of practice, which most people don’t seem to want to give themselves. Why spend hours upon hours crafting perfect sentences and paragraphs when you could just go online and find ones that are almost good enough? Or why take time off work to hone your skills if you could just hire yourself via freelance sites or platforms?

I understand there are not many jobs available for writers these days, so I feel obligated to share some of mine with you. But before I get into what tools help me become famous, let me first talk about how I got here.

How did I come up with this crazy idea to write a book?

My journey as a writer started back in high school when I took creative writing classes. My classmates and professors gave me plenty of feedback and encouragement, helping me develop my writing style.

After graduating college, I continued to put in effort into writing by blogging for money and then editing other people’s material. This eventually led to me creating my own content, which is where things really picked up steam.

I start a blog

Starting your own business is never easy, but with the right mindset you’re more than capable of it! Becoming famous (or at least well known) starts with creating an audience for yourself through any means necessary. This can include starting a blog, sharing your knowledge on YouTube, or launching a mobile app.

With technology moving faster than ever before, there are limitless ways to focus on your personal brand and grow as person. Technology has made it possible to create a voice, showcase your skills, and get paid for it.

In this article, we will talk about some strategies to promote your online presence while also giving you tips and tricks for blogger beginners. We will look at how to pick a blogging platform, what types of blogs are needed for success, and how to market your new site.

I create a book

A few years ago, I decided to make my first foray into writing by creating my own book. Even though I’ve always loved reading, I never thought about becoming an author until later in life. It seems like most people do at some point!

I created this book called My Life In The Ocean (MLIO for short). It is a collection of stories and experiences that focus mostly on underwater living. This includes tips and tricks for those who are interested in diving or want to learn how to scuba dive.

It is also full of fun anecdotes and stories from past dives and adventures. When I published the book back in September 2016, I did not know what kind of reaction I would get. But since then, it has done really well and got great reviews.

My MLIO website now features all sorts of free content to help you with your diving journey. There are lots of articles and videos which can be accessed for free. These cover everything form basic diver safety to advanced theory and concepts of underwater photography and videography.

By offering these things for free, I have been able to achieve my goal of sharing my passion for diving with others.

I invest in advertising

As mentioned before, being famous doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time to grow your fan base and reach an audience, which is why you need to be prepared for that by investing in different mediums and strategies.

One of my most important investments has been advertisements. I have spent money on ads in magazines, websites, YouTube videos, and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

By using my personal account resources as well as those of Influencers I admire, I have been able to create a buzz around me and get people to notice me.

My followers increase due to my posting habits so adding advertisement content to my posts helps spread my name even more!

Influencer marketing is another way to use advertising to gain exposure. By paying them to promote products or services of yours, you can reap the benefits of their popularity and influence.

I create a website

A few years ago, I made my first online business selling handmade jewelry. Since then, it has grown into a full-time income source for me. Through this site, my shop, Little Lovelies, I have been able to provide employment to several artists in India while at the same time promoting myself as an artist.

My success comes down to three things: marketing, networking, and being willing to put in the effort needed to succeed.

I will talk more about each of these in later posts.

I enter a contest

Many people have made it to the top by doing something that makes them famous. They create their own luck, they work hard, and they are willing to put in the effort needed to achieve their dreams.

By entering a competition, you get access to the things the organizer of the event has paid for – entry tickets or prizes. You do not need to win anything to make your dream come true, but being awarded a prize is a great way to launch your career!

It’s always smart to check out what past winners were given before deciding if this is an opportunity you want to take. If you are able to secure some extra money, then why not? It will help you pay off student loans or start investing in new skills.

I entered my first ever YouTube challenge back in August 2017. It was called The Year Of Action and it asked you to upload a video every day for one year about whatever you wanted to focus on.

My focused area was social media marketing so each day included learning more about that field and how to improve my game.

I start a business

Starting your own business is an incredible way to make your career and life more dramatic. It’s also a great way to make money, as long as you know what you are doing!

Many people have made big bucks by starting from scratch and coming up with their own concept or product. This includes entrepreneurs such as Mark Zuckerberg who started Facebook, or Bill Gates who founded Microsoft.

If you ever wanted to be in the entertainment industry, then creating and producing your own show is another way to do it. The media is full of stories of talented individuals who left the safety of job security to go out on their own and create something that benefits them.

The difference between those who succeed and fail is usually determined before they even take their first step. And there’s no reason why you can’t be one of the successful ones.

I get enough referrals

As mentioned before, referral rewards are one of the most important factors in getting more followers on Instagram. Your follower growth will slow down or even stop if you’re not generating any referrals.

So how do you generate referrals? By making it clear to your audience what you offer and encouraging them to use that product or service.

For example, if you run a fitness class, then advertise it! Post pictures of your classes, talk about the benefits, and encourage people to come take your class.

Your potential client may want to join your class – they might already be interested but didn’t know where to find yours- so let them know by advertising on social media.

Another way to gain referrals is to put up a picture telling people about an event you’re hosting. If someone attends your event, invite them as a friend or add their info into your database for future events.

The same goes for products and services. If there was a good quality camera worth $200, tell everyone about it and ask them to invest in one. Or, if there were health supplements, tell other people about them.

By offering valuable information and supporting others, you’ll start receiving lots of referrals. And don’t forget to reward your referrers! They’ve invested time in promoting you, give them some praise.

I choose the right niche

Choosing your niche is an important first step to becoming famous. This article will discuss some helpful tips about picking your niche and what types of businesses are built off of niches.

The easiest way to begin defining your niche is to think about what you love doing. If you enjoy reading, then read is probably your best bet as a genre. If you like making crafts, pick a craft domain name (like creatingtutorials.com or buyingtablestoppers.com).

If you have a passion that no one else has tapped into yet, there’s a good chance people pay money for it! The key word here being “yet.”

It's very possible to make money online with the wrong niche idea. You could spend all your time producing your content only to find out that nobody wants it. Or you could invest in marketing strategies that don't work and waste your hard earned cash.

I harness the power of social media

Social media platforms have been the real game changers in the recent decade. These platforms are not just about posting selfies or what you ate for breakfast; they are potent tools that can catapult you into stardom if used correctly.

When I began my journey, platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn were on the rise. Rather than sticking to just one platform, I diversified and created content tailored for each audience. For instance, my diving adventures found a fantastic home on Instagram with visually stunning images and videos, while LinkedIn was perfect for sharing my writing and blogging tips with professionals.

Consistency was the key. Instead of sporadic postings, I committed to a content calendar. Engaging with my followers, replying to their comments, and starting meaningful conversations made me not just a content creator but a genuine part of their community.

Collaborations with other influencers also helped. We'd go on joint ventures, host giveaways, or take over each other's accounts for a day. This mutual exchange opened doors to new followers and increased my reach exponentially.

I attend networking events and conferences

While the digital realm offered vast possibilities, I never underestimated the power of face-to-face interactions. Attending writer's conferences, book signings, and diving expos allowed me to meet industry professionals, other writers, and potential readers in person.

These events were not just about promoting myself but learning from others, gathering feedback, and understanding the latest industry trends. The connections I made often led to guest writing opportunities, collaboration on new projects, and even invitations to speak or conduct workshops.

I made sure to leave a lasting impression at every event, handing out business cards with my blog and social media details, and following up with those I met. These real-life interactions complemented my online presence, creating a holistic approach to my journey to fame.

By starting from the general categories and working your way down, you'll hopefully hit upon a winner.
