The chances of your becoming famous are incredibly small, which is why it’s so shocking when a celebrity dies. It seems like there’s always one too many around these days!
Most people can’t seem to get past the fact that Steve Jobs died, even though he had been in poor health for some time. He was only 55 years old at the time of his death back in October 2011.
However, things aren’t quite as common nowadays with the passing away of another popular musician. According to our research, we know how eight musicians from various fields have passed away within the last century.
With this article, we will be taking a look at three more deceased artists who didn’t quite make the headlines just because they weren’t very well known. But their deaths still left an impression, however slight.
Many people know that Nirvana’s lead singer, Kurt Cobain, died by suicide in his home back in April of 1994, but what many may not know is how he spent his final days.
It has been reported that Cobain took several guns with him to his death, one of which was used to shoot himself in the stomach. He then placed the gun next to his body to make it look like a murder-suicide.
Sources also say that after shooting himself, Cobain called 911 and told them that he had just shot someone else and needed help. An ambulance was waiting outside his house when authorities arrived, making the call seem legitimate.
When paramedics checked Cobain for signs of life they could not find any, confirming the fake gunshot victim story. It was later found out that he had actually taken his own life.
Kurt Cobain left behind eight children, including a son born right before he passed away. His family now shares their grief over his tragic passing.
In 2003, just as his career was taking off with the success of his album Dance With Myself, singer/songwriter Michael Jackson tragically died at age 50 from cardiac arrest.
Many people know that he suffered heart problems before his death but few realize how severe they were or what doctors didn’t think would be possible for him to survive.
He had been in a coma since being found unconscious in his room at the hospital on June 25th, 2009. He never regained consciousness.
It is important to note that this doesn’t mean everything up until then was a dream. Everything leading up to his death happened very real and for someone like Michael who lived a pretty public life, it left many people stunned.
At the time of his passing, there were over 3 million fans online sharing their condolences along with stories about the music of Michael Jackson. Many talk about how much he inspired them and made them feel good about themselves.
He will definitely be missed but his legacy lives on through all of these things.
In early 2016, news broke that legendary musician David Bowie had passed away at age 69. He died in his sleep due to natural causes. While his death was not unexpected, it shocked many people.
He spent most of his life as one of the biggest music stars ever. His songs have earned him five Grammy Awards and he has also won several other awards for his artistic achievements.
But aside from his musical career, he left an incredible legacy outside of music. He made significant contributions to fashion, art, and filmmaking.
Sadly, this legacy will be overshadowed by his passing. But like any influential person, his death sparked conversations about what he meant to us as individuals and as a society.
Here, we look at some of the ways he influenced his field and wider community while he was alive.
Carrie Fisher, beloved actress and writer, died this week at age 60 due to cardiac arrest. Known for her work in both film and television, she rose to fame with her role as Princess Leia Organa in the original Star Wars trilogy.
Since then, Carrie has starred in several other popular films such as The Blues Brothers, E.T., Grandma’s Boy, and most recently, The BFG. She also published two books before her death- one autobiographical and one fictional.
In addition to her career, Carrie was an outspoken advocate for mental health issues and awareness programs. She once said, “If you are struggling to cope with depression, call someone. Ask them if they could help you.”
Carrie is survived by her daughter Billie, son Joe, and husband Paul Gregus.
As we know, death is never really good for your self-esteem. For many people, the loss of an icon like Tupac can have major effects on their life. He was not only a well-known musician, but he also left us with several songs that touched millions of listeners.
It is important to note that although his passing was very sad, it was also due to health complications caused by his addictions. Health issues are definitely more serious than music ones!
He did however suffer from chronic medical conditions which made his recovery longer and more difficult. These include diabetes and hypertension.
Sadly, these diseases affected his circulation and blood flow and thus needed treatment or else he would have suffered significant long term damage or even death.
His family has asked that you give them time to grieve and mourn before celebrating him as someone who lived a great life. Celebrating the life of another just because they had success or achieved greatness is wrong and will make some people feel worse about themselves.
People may admire what he got away with in the past, but ignore how much suffering he went through to get there.
In 1980, iconic singer-songwriter and frequent political activist John Lennon was murdered outside of his apartment building in New York City. He was shot three times by Mark David Chapman, an obsessed fan who had traveled to America just to meet him.
Lennon’s final words were reportedly “God bless us all.” He died two weeks before his 40th birthday.
After his death, many people reflected upon how influential he was as both a musician and a public figure. Many also noted that his music often focused on social issues such as politics and religion.
But what most people don’t realize is that not only did Lennon write some of the greatest songs of all time, but he lived a very healthy lifestyle that included vegetarianism, exercise, and meditation.
Music has always been a powerful tool for expression, so it’s no surprise that his songs touched the hearts of so many. However, what made his songs particularly special was their ability to inspire action around important topics – something that is still relevant today.
Here are 9 ways that John Lennon inspired changes in the world.
In August of 1977, just three months after his 33rd birthday, Elvis made his final public appearance at a press conference in Las Vegas. During this event, he announced that he was retiring from performing due to health issues. He then mentioned something many have noticed since his death: none of these announcements were met with much surprise or reaction.
Elvis had been suffering from medical complications stemming from his hip surgery back in1969. These included internal bleeding and bone deterioration which allowed bacteria to grow and become infected. If left untreated, sepsis would eventually kill him.
Sepsis is an inflammation of the body’s organs caused by bacterial infection. When you are exposed to germs, your immune system reacts by creating chemicals to protect yourself. Sometimes though, the body cannot contain the growth of infectious agents and they spread into other areas of the body.
This can happen if there are open wounds or holes in the skin where infections are able to enter. It may also occur when there is direct contact with fluids or tissues that carry microorganisms such as urine, saliva, blood, or fecal matter.– Healthline
Many people might not know what sepis is nor how to identify symptoms but one thing is certain – it can be deadly for someone without early treatment!
Sadly, most people don’t realize that having an illness could potentially mean death unless you speak to doctors and get appropriate tests done.
The most famous murderer in America was also one of the most recognizable faces. He became well-known for his charming demeanor, which hid an obsession with violence and murder. Even though he claimed to like music as a child, there is no evidence that this is true.
In fact, many people who knew him said that listening to music was the only thing he would do while planning his next crime. This made it easy to identify him as a musician because of what topic his songs typically discuss.
Ted Bundy’s favorite song is called “I Would Do Anything For You.” In it, the singer expresses their desire to have sex with someone even if they are married. Given how frequently he engaged in sexual assault and rape, it is clear that this song moved him deeply.
He killed at least 30 young women between 1972 and 1978 by raping them and then strangling or beating them to death. After murdering each victim, he would soak their clothes in blood so that they could be identified later.
His killing spree came to an end when police tracked down his car after noticing something suspicious. They found several of the victims inside along with various souvenirs such as jewelry and hair clips.
A coroner determined that all of the deaths were due to strangulation, but none of the bodies showed any signs of struggle. It is possible that these killings took place elsewhere and he drove some distance away afterwards.
