Steve was born Steven Orlich in West New York, New Jersey in 1984. His father is of German and Italian descent while his mother is mostly Irish. When he was six years old, the family moved to Wyckoff, an upper-middle class suburb of South Orange.
He has one older brother named Eric who is two years his senior. As kids, they were not particularly close but later became best friends after attending different high schools together.
From the time he was little, Steve wanted to be famous. He would dress up in costume for holidays and put on elaborate stage shows that received lots of praise.
As he grew up, this desire to be known publicly got more focused. He loved performing so he tried out for various TV roles including small parts on sitcoms. However, it didn’t work out because he couldn’t get enough screen time to prove himself.
This left him feeling discouraged, which only made him want to try harder. It's hard to stay motivated when you don't see success easily, so instead of giving up, he just decided to keep trying.
In May of 2015, Steven Okazaki, or “Steve” as he is known to his friends, posted an edited version of a music clip onto his channel. The song being used in the edit was originally performed by singer Ariana Grande, titled ‘Break Up With Your Boyfriend/Girlfriend'.
The lyrics, “He's so into you, kiss him and tell him you're not feeling the same way, but don't break up with him because then you'll have one less person to blame if things don't work out," directly refer to someone who has broken up with their significant other due to them moving on with someone else.
Okazaki took those words very seriously and made the lyric match his own situation! He broke up with his girlfriend (and later wife) of two years due to her dating again. And while it may sound funny to some, it really hurt his feelings.
His channel now boasts over 1 million subscribers and he is quite well-known. Many know him for singing catchy songs, making fun of himself and others for putting too much effort into something, and offering tips and tricks on beauty and fashion products.
His success comes from his passion for makeup and beauty, along with his ability to relate to his audience.
As we mentioned before, this entrepreneur is famous for his philanthropy and business acumen. He founded Office Depot in 1977 as a small stationery store in Auburn, Massachusetts. Since then he has grown it into one of the largest office supply stores in America with over 1.8 million employees and revenues exceeding $60 billion dollars!
He now serves as its chairman and CEO, and it’s not hard to see why he made such an impact during his career. His work ethic is second-to-none, and he doesn’t hesitate to put in long hours when needed. This also applies to running his company — he always sets high standards and demands excellence from those around him.

As a politician, his focus was mostly economic growth through tax reform and deregulation. Many people know him as the face of the Taxpayers Against Uncle Sam Party (TAUNS).
He ran for president twice under the Tauns banner before dropping out and endorsing Bernie Sanders. As of January 2020, he is running again for the nomination.
His political career began with the Libertarian party, where he served as chairman from 1999-2001. Then he became affiliated with the Tea Party movement, helping them gain more support by going after big government.
Steve now works at the grassroots level trying to get out the vote for free market candidates. He actively supports Ron Paul and Rand Paul because they are honest politicians who speak their mind. He also likes Pete Buttigieg due to his youthful energy and passion for politics.
His goal is to help voters choose between well-intentioned but misguided leaders that will destroy our country or ones that have made promises about changing things and never do.
Before he was known as The King, before he was labeled as the CEO of Apple, before he became arguably one of the greatest business leaders in history, there was someone who went by his middle name — Steven. He lived an unremarkable life as a college student growing up in Palo Alto, California.
