As mentioned earlier, hasbara is the term for “explanation of Judaism” or “Jewish outreach.” More broadly speaking, it can refer to any kind of Jewish engagement or interaction with non-Jews.
Hasbara was most famously practiced by the Nazis during World War II. After Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany in 1933, his party began spreading Nazi propaganda through newspapers, radio broadcasts, and billboards across Europe.
At this time, there were very few places where Jews could feel safe. So many Jews left Germany that large cities like Paris had to close their synagogues because they didn’t have enough space to house all the refugees.
In response to these anti-Semitic attacks, various groups formed to defend Jews from hatred. Some organized armed self-defense drills at local levels while others spread knowledge about Jewish culture and history. This new wave of interest in Jewish people and their heritage was called “the return of the Jew.”
It is important to note here that although some intellectuals viewed the return of the Jew as an attempt to win back lost trust, most average Germans saw it as a threat. The vast majority felt excluded and insecure when confronted with what they considered excessive attention being paid to Jews.
Many German citizens believed that Jews used their powerful media outlets to influence opinion around the world in favor of Israel.
In early February, Australian artist Isabella Leong held her first solo show at Melbourne’s The Studio Museum of Contemporary Art (SOMA). Titled ‘Hasbulla – An Exhibition About Touching Time’, it was an exploration into time as both a quantitative and qualitative concept.
The work in the exhibition focused on different textures or layers that we add to things over time — something most people are familiar with. But for Leong, these additional touches also carry weight; they mean something beyond what they initially were.
For example, consider two photographs of the same person. One could be described as more intimate than the other, perhaps due to the way the photographer posed their shoulders together or the position of the head.
However, despite being staged, the settings themselves have significance. They tell us about the individuals who created them and how they perceived the world around them. In fact, some would say that one is slightly more powerful than the other.
That’s why I decided to include this image in my show,” said Leong.
It’s not just because it features my face, but also because I included a lot of references to my past self. My past selves, all shaped by touch.
By looking back through my life, I hope you will feel like you connect to someone else.
Since his debut, Hasbro has been promoting him as an ambassador for social justice. He is known to use his status as a famous YouTuber to discuss issues such as racism, classism, sexism, and other forms of oppression.
Hasbro’s promotion of Hasbullah comes in the form of advertisements and media appearances. Companies pay him or his team big money to promote their product, which he uses to help spread his message.
In 2010, just one year after launching his business, Ismail Darlington decided to do something crazy. He would launch his own line of beauty products!
He gathered some ingredients he thought could help improve people’s skin and packaged them into what would become his most famous product — the hasshlelm (Hasselback DermaRoll).
The term “hashtag” was not yet popularized, but it is now! And so we have made it part of this article’s title!
What are hashtags? They are short phrases or sentences that use the word # as a prefix. For example, the phrase “what a beautiful day today#” is way longer than the simple hashtag “#”.
Hashtags were first used in 2007 when Twitter launched, back then they were only allowed to be eight characters long. Now there is no length limit!
So why should you care about hashtagging?
It is a very effective tool for social media marketing. By using the right hashtags, you can gain more followers and engagement from your posts.
Your audience will also find it easier to search for content with these tags. People use keywords to look up information so having an appropriate number of related keywords is important.
If you’ve been reading our blogs for a while, then you may have noticed that we are never shy to shout about the benefits of green tea. Many studies show that it is helpful in improving your overall health and wellness, from lowering blood pressure to helping with weight loss.
One of the most popular types of green tea is oolong tea. Oolongs come from the same plant species as white teas, but they is not fully oxidized during processing. This gives them more flavor than other greens, but also some special properties.
A compound found in oolong tea is called epigallocatechin-3 gallate (EGCG). A recent study showed that EGCG can help prevent oxidative damage in healthy cells. Oxidative stress occurs when there is an excess amount of free radicals or unstable molecules in the body.
When enough antioxidants are consumed, these free radicals can be neutralized and eliminated. Since oxidative stress has been linked to many diseases, eating antioxidant rich foods may be a way to reduce risk of disease.
So what makes this particular type of green tea particularly powerful? It is actually mixed with bullfrog urine! Yes, you read that correctly – bullfrog pee. The reason? Frogs secrete chemicals when they feel threatened, so adding this extra ingredient may increase the potency of the drink.
In May of 2017, comedian and television personality Hasbullah was featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show as part of an episode that focused on inspiring others to achieve their dreams.
Hasbullah discussed how he overcame his fears and lost his fear of swimming by practicing in rivers and lakes with no one else around. His challenge was then to learn to swim without using fins or treading water.
When he finally felt comfortable doing so, he learned to dive under water. He eventually graduated to diving from the beach and learning how to float!
After mastering these basics, it became easier to teach him how to surf. Once again, he had to feel confident enough to practice indoors before moving onto outdoor waters. And now, he is a pro-surfer!
You may have seen Hasbullah’s impressive aquatic feats on YouTube or TV but some people still don’t know who he is. That’s okay though because you can find his videos everywhere!
He has over 5 million followers on Instagram, almost 1 million subscribers on his channel on YouTube, and nearly 2 million fans on Facebook. People enjoy watching his motivational talk and educational content about different topics such as health, entrepreneurship, psychology and more.
He also publishes books which are very popular among readers. Many consider him to be influential since he teaches people about various things while at the same time promoting himself and his career.
In May of 2018, Hasbulla posted an Instagram story with her and Taylor Swift looking sizzling in very little clothes. The two were making funny faces while posing for the camera in what appeared to be a room or space that was surrounded by windows.
The caption read: “I’m trying to teach myself how to surf this week! @taylorswift13 would you help me out? #surflesson” Then, just like that, it became popular again. People took screenshots and shared them all over social media.
It didn’t take long before people started speculating about the location of the beach where the lesson takes place. Some claimed it is at the Malibu Beach Hotel, which is not true because there are no beaches close to that hotel that feature surfing lessons.
Other theories include saying it is at the Santa Monica Pier, but there is also no way Taylor would go to the pier to learn how to surf since she has never mentioned doing so anywhere else.
A fan eventually figured out that the setting is actually at Neverland Ranch- one of Disney's famous theme parks. This makes sense because the park does have a wave pool and water activities such as swimming and diving.
In August of 2017, media reports stated that Hasbro was developing an action figure line based off of The Revenant — its most popular movie at the time!
The company already has several movie-based lines such as Marvel’s Avengers and DC’s Justice League, so it made sense to create figures for their newest blockbuster film.
However, this new figure line is different from the others in one major way: It features not only action figures, but also role-playing games (RPG) designed by Game Workshop, the makers of tabletop game systems like Dungeons & Dragons.
This article will talk you through how Hasbro got into the business of creating movie-themed action figures and RPGs, what people are talking about the products and industry trends, and why these products are very successful.
In May of 2017, Hasui Yang (also known as “Hasbullah”) made his first appearance at an NBA game. He was not there to watch basketball, however; he was there to show off some very flashy sneakers!
The Chinese media outlets that cover the league were fascinated by these new kicks. Many reporters asked how they designed them, what materials were used, and if anyone in China could buy a pair.
Some even inquired whether or not Hasbullah would be willing to share his secrets with them. He happily obliged!
Since then, he has been invited back for several more games, and he always performs a little bit before taking time to talk to fans.
His popularity continues to grow because he makes people laugh and feel good about themselves. He is also inspiring to other artists in the Asian community, since he creates fashion designs that are clearly inspired by African styles.
All this attention has helped him launch his own collection, which features clothing and footwear heavily infused with African motifs.
He gives most of his profits from the sale of merchandise to charities that help disadvantaged children around the world get an education.
