The process of getting your C21 visa can take anywhere from one day to several weeks, depending on how many officials need to review your application.
It’s important to know that while there is an average processing time for C21 visas, this doesn’t mean you have to wait that length of time for each individual agent or embassy to complete their work.

Recent developments for Canadian citizens to travel overseas has been the addition of additional visa classes. These include Tourist Visas, Business Visas, Culture Visa’s, Medical Visit Visas, Working Holiday Visas (WHVs), and more!
The good news is that most of these new visas do not require you to spend much time at an embassy or consulate outside Canada. What they will ask for are some extra documents and fees which can be done remotely via online tools or through third-party services.
This article will focus on one particular visa class – The Cultural Exchange (Cultural Permit) Visa. This type of visa does NOT expire until September 30th 2021, but it cannot be used for tourism or business trips. It MUST be used for educational purposes.

There are two main organizations that offer this service — World Student & Scholar Services (WSS) and NAFEPB. Both of these companies get paid by employers to verify whether or not someone has permission to work in America, so their costs are very high.
The WSS website says its average wait time is six weeks, but some cases took over a year. So, if you want to visit the United States within the next 6 weeks, do not use their services.
Another option is to go through NAFEPB. They say their average wait time is 4 days, which seems better than WSS. However, this could also take several weeks because there is no way to know when they will be able to accept your visa.
If you must arrive in the country earlier than this, try getting a new visa before traveling to reduce waiting times.
It is very important to note that even if you have an all-access pass, like a VISA card or membership, you still need to confirm your departure date before you can leave!
This is because international flight departures are not always listed as having visa free entry times at airports. Some only list “visa on arrival” times, which is why it is crucial to know what time your plane leaves so that you do not overstay in the country.
For example, say you arrive in Thailand on a one month VISA and your plane departs in two weeks. You would be staying past your permitted stay by two weekends.
Not only could this pose problems for reentry into the country, but also for returning home since you will most likely run out of money due to spending too much while there.
Even if you already have an international visa, you will need to re-enter the country after your expiry date has passed. This is called a “reentry” or “visa run” in some countries.
